+ About Bodhi Vanam
Bodhi Vanam (Awakening Forest) is a simple, serene, non-profit, non-religious, spiritual, eco, wholeness centre and a healing forest near Perumalamalai on the Kodaikanal mountain, Tamil Nadu, South India.
Here you can relax, reconnect, realign, rejuvenate, tune, learn, heal, experience, energise, nourish and evolve the inner & outer nature with practices and inspirations from yoga, meditations, healing, permaculture, healthy food, eco living, creativity, inner science, conscious relating, mother nature & love !
It is located at 1270 mts. elevation with lovely cool weather (avg.18-25°c) with rich flora, wild fauna and beautiful streams and waterfalls. Nearby, there are many organic farms, international schools, communities and BodhiZendo meditation centre (10km).
+ How to reach Bodhi Vanam ?
Bodhi Vanam is located 10km near Perumalamalai on Kodaikanal mountain.
It’s accessible by Bus/Car ~130km from Madurai Airport, ~175km from Coimbatore Airport, ~380km from Thiruvannamalai, ~430km from Auroville, ~500km from Chennai Airport.
Over night Bus journey is a good option for people coming through Chennai/ Pondicherry/ Bangalore.
If you travel by Bus, get down at Perumalmalai and take a car/ jeep further.
If you travel by Car, come upto the junction where off-road (last 2 km) starts.
If you travel by Motorbike or 4×4 Jeep, can come all the way to the place.
Last 2 km is off-road adventerous terrain which can be traversed only by foot or Motorbike or 4×4 Jeep.
